Before I qualified as a counsellor, I worked as a social worker for 40 years, in which time I also specialised in fostering and adoption work. In this time, I worked with people with a wide range of difficulties.
I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
I am also a qualified yoga teacher and run my own yoga classes.
I trained with BCPC (Bath Centre of Psychotherapy and Counselling) in 2006 and subsequently set up my own private practice in 2007. My counselling practice is run from a separate building next to my house in Backwell which is in a quiet, peaceful, discreet area with plenty of parking spaces available.
I live and practice in Backwell, which is about 6 miles from the centre of Bristol. It takes approximately 8 minutes to drive from South Bristol to Backwell.
Additionally, I am on a major bus route and there is also a local train station around a 20 minute walk from my practice.
As well as being close to Bristol, the surrounding villages near where I practice are Long Ashton, Congresbury, Cleeve, Wraxall, Nailsea, Clevedon, Portishead, Barrow Gurney, Yatton, Felton, Wrington, Langford.
